Time for Another Good Idea, Bad Idea
Well, as a follow up to my post about how easy it is to steal your credit card info from your RFID enabled credit card, here's another use of RFID, but it comes under the heading of a good idea, rather than a bad one.
An RFID enabled purse that keeps track of your stuff. Can I get an RFID enabled backpack for my laptop and so on? That'd be great, KTHXBYE.
Sort of like the truck that know where your tools are. Again, good idea because your keys are probably only transmitting that they're not in the bag, not who you are or what kind of car it is. Nifty.
I'll keep posting them as I find them. If you're at all interested, they'll be RFID tagged here.

It would be nifty to have a cell phone holster or whatever that knew if your cell was within RFID range. Many is the time that I've left my handset in the car, but my earpiece (Bluetooth) alerts me before I go too far. It's still a schlep back to the car by the time it notices though.
